I am a native South Korean living in River Forest, a west suburb of Chicago. I have been an educator and educational business owner/director before shifting my career to Hospitality Industry Management. As a business owner, I honed my managerial skill sets as well as communication, finance, and leadership.
I've traveled and studied in several countries such as Australia, New Zealand, and Canada before settling in the U.S. Having these opportunities expanded my view of the world, especially about the diverse culture, social custom, and multicultural cuisine.
Before my HIA associate degree at Triton, I earned a B.A degree in English Literature and English Language from Chosun University in South Korea. As I started learning Hospitality Industry dynamics, I found a similar artistic channel in culinary arts as I found in the literature.
I am a mom, a wife, and a friend to diverse people. I enjoy traveling, fine dining, reading, gardening, and most of all connecting with people I adore.
